Difference between Tarot Angel and Oracle Cards

All card types have a purpose and can be used for receiving messages from loved ones, personal growth messages, inspiration, healing and divination.

Personally, I feel that Angel cards have a softer, gentler, feel to them. They provide messages from your Angels. Although these decks are also oracle cards they are specifically designed to work with your Angels. These messages can bring detailed meanings from loves ones, messages on health, and inspiration, love and comfort. I find them particularly useful in distressing situations as the messages can be quite profound and yet very gentle. Angel cards do not provide you with specific details in regards to timings or people or places. Currently my favourite Angel deck is …”Ask An Angel '' by Toni carmine Salerno & Carisa Mellado - I find them spooky accurate.

An Oracle deck is more free-form. Oracle cards can be anything – there are no rules that must be followed. An Oracle deck can have any number of cards in it. Oracle cards are great for yes or no answers and can also provide some very profound and accurate readings. I like to use Oracle cards to follow a Tarot reading as I have found that they offer confirmation of the earlier reading and offer straight forward messages, often providing clarity. Some Oracle cards focus attention on specific areas; such as love and relationships, whilst others are more general. Currently my favourite Oracle deck is … “Energy” by Sandra Anne Taylor. I find they offer honest and accurate messages.

There is a structure to a Tarot deck. Each deck consists of 78 cards. These 78 cards are made up of major and minor arcana and consist of four suits, and court cards. Tarot has a depth to it that Oracle cards sometimes lack. They can provide very deep details to any situation. You can read the cards using traditional card spreads or you can ask direct questions to your cards and get direct answers back. You can simply lay the cards out and build upon the story with each card you draw. The Rider Waite Smith Tarot is my deck of choice.

Remember a deck will only work for you if it speaks to you. There is a reason that there are hundreds of thousands of different card decks.
